About

The Jaguar Rescue Center is a temporary or permanent home for ill, injured and orphaned animals. With a focus on birds, reptiles, amphibians and small primates, the JRC provides veterinary services, round-the-clock care and comfort to animals that would otherwise be unable to survive in the rainforest or the sea of the Caribbean.

Volunteer Details:

Rent a place nearby and work from 7:30-3:30 each day, 5 days/week. 4 weeks of volunteering for $350. Final week is in the jungle releasing the rehabilitated animals and includes accommodation and breakfast, other weeks do not. If possible to get a reservation there is a really nice hostel beside the JRC that is $20/night, $140/week, $420 for 3 weeks.

$350 (volunteer fee including one night room & board) + $420 (3 weeks room) = $770 = $25 per day. Would need to account for food for 3 weeks.
